Underdog changed their Eliminator contest last year and has turned it into a 50/50 and head-to-head sweat for 17 weeks.

This new format really shakes up how the Eliminator is played. I’ll analyze the optimal ways to play this contest.

Overview:

In previous Eliminators on Underdog, you remained in a Pod of at least 5, but typically 8-10 teams, for every week up until the finals. And your advance rate was between 60% -83% for most of the weeks.

The new flagship Eliminator is set up so it’s always a 50/50. Your advance rate is 50% every single week. In Week 1, you start with your pod of the 12 teams in your draft, and 6 of those advance. After that, every single week is a head-to-head match-up, until you get to week 17, which is a 3-team battle.

While this contest may not be the best for ROI, it certainly is very fun and offers a weekly sweat equity.
